Marketing
with intention, not volume.
The name "Discretion" reflects our core philosophy—marketing requires judgment. In an era of digital noise and aggressive growth tactics, we believe in the power of thoughtful, measured actions that respect both budgets and audiences' attention.
The discretion story
Discretion was founded in 2025 by Denis Conlon, a marketing strategist with over 20 years of experience transforming complex challenges into clear solutions.
After two decades scaling marketing operations and managing multi-million dollar budgets for global organizations, Denis recognized a critical gap: small businesses needed sophisticated marketing expertise but couldn't afford agency overhead or navigate modern digital complexity.
Why discretion
Discretion means two things: the quality of having good judgment, and the freedom to decide what should be done. Both are essential to effective marketing.
Good judgment means knowing not just what you could do, but what you should do. It means respecting the trust you've built with your community. It means choosing strategies that enhance rather than compromise your credibility. The freedom to decide means escaping the "best practices" that work for everyone and therefore no one. It means custom strategies for your specific context. It means saying no to noise so you can say yes to what matters.
